- Must have a nationally recognised Cert lll or Diploma in Children’s Services
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Up to date First Aid, Child Protection and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
- Awareness and experience in both the NQF and EYLF
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good work ethic and dedication
- You must have a passion for providing quality learning experiences and strive to be a role model
- Previous experience is desirable
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide the children with a safe, secure and home-like environment.
- Liaise with parents and carers regularly to ensure they are updated on their child’s progress.
- Work as part of a highly-motivated and professional team
- Compliance with service procedures and policies
- Curriculum planning and documentation
- Interacting and supervising children to support them in their learning and development
- Communicate with other staff members to ensure smooth running of daily routines.
- Create stimulating group time sessions with children based on their interests.

ECT
Due to our increase in occupancy, Discover and Learn Academy is currently looking to grow our team with a passionate and motivated Early Childhood Teacher.
In this position you will be responsible for our school readiness program, ensuring operations are compliant with legislative requirements of the National Regulations and National Quality Framework while working within our dedicated team to develop existing staff skills, developing an inclusive educational program consistent with the EYLF, be a part of our team to complete policy reviews & updates, as well as QIP and promoting our service.
To be considered for this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Teaching/Education (Early Childhood Education) recognised by ACECQA or 50% Completed.
- NESA Teacher Accreditation
- Up to date First Aid, Child Protection and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a high-quality educational program based on appropriate curriculum and legislative frameworks and child protection procedures.
- Previous experience in the education and care of children aged 0 – 5
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation
- Awareness and experience in both the NQF and EYLF
