Welcome to Discover and Learn Academy
We are committed to giving each child the best start in life.
More than just a childcare centre
At Discover and Learn Academy we are an extended family where your child will be valued, respected, and nurtured.
Our qualified and dedicated team of educators encourage every child to grow, learn and develop and graduate from our early learning centres reaching milestones. Each child will learn to spread their wings and leave us to continue their journey into their schooling life feeling confident and prepared.
From the minute you visit one of our centres in Heatherbrae or Tanilba Bay you will be welcomed and feel a sense of confidence.
Our service has an open-door policy, which means that you and your family are welcome to visit the service at any time.
Our Centres
Open-Door Policy
Our childcare centres have an open-door policy, which means that you and your family are welcome to visit the centres at any time.
Both of our centres operate from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday to Friday, to cater for the needs of all parents and carers.
All Ages Welcome
At Discover and Learn Academy we offer extended hours of care and cater for children 0 – 6 years. We also offer before and after-school care as well as vacation care for primary school children up to 12 years of age.
Meals Provided
We are a fully catered daycare, providing breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack. Meals are provided by Kids Gourmet Food, which deliver fresh, nutritional, and inclusive meals daily.
Our Curriculum
Educational Program
In our preschool, we implement a play-based educational program that creates a safe and secure environment for all children to enhance their emotional, physical, intellectual, and aesthetic development.
Sense of Being
We encourage and support children to interact positively and collaboratively, expressing empathy for others and actively challenging biased opinions and promoting social justice.
